After completing one year constructing steel covers, belows and chip conveyor at our new building, we have the pleasure to inform about the inauguration of a new repairing production unity specialized in repairs at our Cobsen Boituva-SP plant. The activities at Cobsen Service, São Paulo, were transfered to our Boituva plant, which contains a big area for repairing services. The decision was made with the main purpose of atempting the ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 Standards.

We would like to inform that we are not working with the agency Augetec anymore. Contact from customers from the South region should be done directly with Cobsen from 29/03/10 on.

Cobsen will be on vacation from 23.12.09 until 03.01.10. We would like to wish you a merry Christmas and a happy 2010.

Once again Hennig was at the EMO-fair in Milan (05.10.09-10.10.09).

Hennig, a supplier of machine protection systems, specializing in complete subassemblies of XYZ systems, has introduced a new non-motorized guide system specifically for the use of aluminum aprons.
The system works in a purely mechanical manner and is extremely easy to push or pull. Depending on the type of apron (Aluflex or GS20), a reversing or winding system allows guiding in one or two directions. The available space next to, or inside, the machine determines the type of apron guide: whether to roll up or reverse, in an elliptical or spiral movement, in every orientation, even overhead.
This system has already proven itself in an outstanding manner for all XYZ modules.
The guide is suitable for high speeds exceeding 328 feet per minute (100 meters per minute) and acceleration exceeding 1g, and shows practically no wear and tear under these conditions.

In june 2009 Cobsen will start its folded bellows production

Once again Cobsen was at the FEIMAFE-fair in São Paulo. Cobsen stand has presented some new features: a chip conveyor with chip disc filtration system (CDF) and a XY-module with flexible apron covers and a new rolling-system.

Cobsen has invited customers and suplliers to the Open House event on 01.29.09, so that everybody could know the new building and straight relationship. A big event, with the participation of the Hennig Germany Director.

On 10.04.08 Cobsen Ltda. finished moving to a new building, located at R. Benedito Mazulquim, 425, 18.550-000, Boituva-SP. The new structure is on a 5,000 m² site, where 2,200 m² correspond to the built area. The biggest steel cover industry in South America!

As a way to accelerate production, Cobsen has bought a new Laser machine. Bystronic´s machine is working since january 2008.

Sermeto is now part of the Hennig Group.

We have concluded our investment in our French competitor, with effect from 24 January 2008. With Sermeto, the leading manufacturer in our product sector in France, we are thereby increasing our product range in Europe, primarily through chip conveyors. Hennig will strengthen its leading position with this new member of the Group and is thus becoming an all-rounder and global player for machine protection systems within the machine tool sector. Customers from both companies will benefit in future from the synergy effects and skills and knowledge transfer in engineering and production, especially for telescopic steel covers and XYZ complete component groups.

We are very pleased about this addition of strength and are looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that it will present in future.

In semptember 2007 a daughter company, specialized in reparings, Cobsen Service, was created in São Paulo, with the main purpose of attepting our clients´ necessities more faster.

The countdown begins. This year Cobsen-Hennig now produces chip conveyors for customers in Brazil.

Further development of our C-Lip resulted in higher lip preload and can compensate for unevenness up to 3mm. The made-to-order lip material is the same as that for the well proven C-Lip red for wet machining. The new C-Lip is also available in continuous length.

Daughter company

A daughter company, specialized in reparings, Cobsen Service, was created in São Paulo, with the main purpose of attepting our clients´ necessities more faster.

With business increasing in Brazil, service will be needed more and more often. With that in mind, our partner John Tellefsen of Cobsen-Hennig uses a mobilized service station to provide service at the customer sites.

We are implementing a new, special 3D software specially developed to design and create drawings for our telescoping steel covers. Designing and drawing your steel cover with this new software means shorter lead times and easier construction. It will also allow design standardization across the Hennig Network. Bir Softec, a division of our Indian Hennig network investment, SUR-Hennig, developed this software for Hennig.

To realize a worldwide quality standard, we installed new test stands at Cobsen Brazil, Hennig CZ, SUR-Hennig India, Hennig USA and O-Sung Mechatronics in Korea. These are used for endurance tests and speeds from 3 to 80 m/min.
